Mega Pro 'R' Starter/Grower
This feed helps get cattle off to a fast start. It is low in corn, high in fiber, with oats and cottonseed hulls. it is highly fortified with vitamins and Albion MAAC* trace minerals.
Mega Pro 'R' Steer Finisher
This feed is balanced with energy, protein, vitamins and Albion MAAC* trace minerals. It has steam-flaked corn, oats and barley to give that desired finish.
Mega Pro 'R' Heifer Developer
This is a highly fortified feed to grow and develop heifers. It contains a balance of protein, energy, fiber, vitamins and Albion MAAC* trace minerals to help grow, finish and develop the reproductive organs. If more finish is desired, feed 1/2 Mega Pro 'R' Steer Finisher.
Mega Pro 'R' Barley Base
This is a feed to help out finish and bloom on the cattle. This can be fed as the sole feed 60 days before show or mixed with Mega Pro 'R' Steer Finisher or Heifer Developer at 50:50.
Mega Pro 'R' 12% Creep Feed
A 12% protein feed balanced in high energy, bypass protein, bypass fat, fiber, vitamins and Albion MAAC* trace minerals to provide that early finish look to calve while nursing.
Mega Pro 'R' Calf Starters
Available in an 18% or 16% protein. Medicated with Deccox. These starters are for dairy calves and contain steam-flaked corn, oats, barley and Albion MAAC trace minerals.*
Mega Pro 'R' Show Cattle Conditioner
This is an 11% protein feed to be used while showing cattle on the road. It is very low in corn, high in fiber and fortified with vitamins and Albion MAAC* trace minerals to get the fill needed and to keep the stools firm. This feed can be used as a holding feed or mixed with one of the other Mega Pro 'R' complete feeds..
Mega Pro 'R' Cow Feed
This is a very high energy feed with steam-flaked corn, cottonseed hulls, bypass protein, bypass fat and molasses.

Tips in Using Hackman Show Feeds:
I. Creep Feeding
Two Options
- 13% Mega Pro 'R' Creep Feed with medications options
- 12% Mega Pro 'R' Creep Feed with medications options
* If you are growing and developing the calves to keep and fit yourself, use the 13%. If you want more condition and are preparing the calves for sale, use the 12% which is higher in energy.
II. Wean the calves on the Hackman Show Feed Creep Feeds - either the 12% or the 13%
- Put out Free Choice, the Albion Beef and Dairy 50:50 Mineral
- Feed the Creep Feed for one week at 1 to 1 1/2% body weight. Provide plenty of grass hay. (No alfalfa)
- Second Week After Weaning
Feed 1/2 Hackman Show Feed Mega Pro 'R' Creep Feed and 1/2 Hackman Mega Pro 'R' Starter and Grower at 1 1/2% of body weight of the combination of the Creep Feed and then Starter and Grower. Provide plenty of grass hay. Keep Albion and Dairy Mineral 50:50 out Free Choice - Third Week
Feed Hackman Show Feed Mega Pro 'R' Starter and Grower at 1 1/2% of body weight. Provide plenty of grass hay. Keep Albion Beef and Dairy 50:50 Mineral out Free Choice. - Fourth Week
Start working calves up to 2% of body weight of Mega Pro 'R' Starter and Grower. Provide plenty of grass hay. Keep Albion Beef and Dairy 50:50 Mineral out Free Choice.
III. Steers
- Keep Albion Beef and Dairy 50:50 Mineral out Free Choice.
- Keep Hackman Show Feed Mega Pro 'R' Starter and Grower to steers from weaning to 800 to 900 pounds at 2% plus of body weight. Feed grass hay at 1/2 to 1% of body weight or 5 to 10 lbs.
- Then switch to Hackman Show Feed Mega Pro 'R' Steer Finisher. Feed at 2 to 2 1/2% of body weight. Feed grass hay at 1/2 to 1% of body weight.
- more finish is needed at the end (last 60 days) go to 1/2 Mega Pro 'R' Steer Finisher and 1/2 Mega Pro 'R' Barley Base. Feed 1/2% to 1% body weight of grass hay.
- If steers are getting too much finish to early, feed 1/2 Mega Pro 'R' Steer Finisher and 1/2 Mega Pro 'R' Heifer Developer. Feed 1/2 to 1% of body weight in grass hay.
- Steers can be held on Mega Pro 'R' Heifer Developer and grass hay.
IV. Heifers
- Keep Albion Beef and Dairy 50:50 Mineral out Free Choice at all times.
- Start feeding Mega Pro 'R' Heifer Developer 700 to 800 pounds at 2 to 2 1/2% of body weight. Feed grass hay at 1% of body weight.
- If more condition is desired, feed 1/2 Mega Pro 'R' Heifer Developer and 1/2 Mega Pro 'R' Steer Finisher. Feed 1% of body weight in grass hay. (One flake morning and night)
V. Weaning
- Use Albion Pull Thru Drench the day of weaning
Mix one 10 oz. package of Albion Pull Thru with one quart of water and give one ounce of this drench per animal or use Albion Rep Gel Paste at 20cc per animal orally at weaning if they weigh 400 pounds plus. - Worm animals at weaning, Jan. 01, April 01, and July 01
- Water Treatment - Mix 1/2 pounds of Albion Nutrisol to 500 gallons of drinking water for the first 7 to 10 days after weaning.
- Vaccinate animals for IBR, P13, BRSV, BVD, Lepto, and Haemphilous Somnus. Consult with your vetrinarian on a vaccination program.
- Two weeks before your first show, vaccination animals with Nasal-Gen (TSV2) IBR, P13.
- Use a good delicing program, Consult your vetrinarian.

Mega Pro 'R' Show Cattle Conditioner
This is a feed designed to be used when you take the cattle to the shows to get the extra fill and keep the stool condition solid. It is high in cottonseed bulls and oats, but fortified with bypass protein, bypass fat, vitamins, and Albion MAAC trace minerals. Mega Pro 'R' Show Cattle Conditioner can be used as a holding feed to hold steers or heifers at the weight you want and still keep the bloom in the hair coat.
Mega Pro 'R' Cow Feed
This is a very high-energy feed with steamed flaked corn, cottonseed bulls, bypass protein, bypass fat, molasses, and Albion MAAC trace minerals. This is an excellent feed to feed to cows before and after calving along with forage. The bypass protein, bypass fat, and Albion MAAC trace minerals will help in building a good strong calf and healthy clostrum. These last years' reports were the strongest, quickest nursing calves we have ever had.
